Hopewell Hospice and Paradise Kids are thankful for all that has been achieved and the many ways in which Hopewell and Paradise Kids have helped to heal the heartache associated with grief, loss and illness.

In 2009, some 300 children in Paradise Kids Grief and Loss Support Groups; 10 families with seriously ill children spent a holiday week in the PK Holiday House; 1589 counselling sessions were provided by staff and volunteers at Paradise Kids; 76 people experienced the hospitality of Hopewell Hospice, either for their final journey from this life or for a time of respite, as well as support for their families; some 350 people were enrolled in courses provided by Clare College of Transformative Education, at Arundel or at Paradise Kids Brisbane in Greenslopes – and that is just a sample of the activities taking place. Depending on our ability to keep raising the necessary funds, we are planning even more activities in 2010, as well as making our facilities available to other programs that are in keeping with the values of the Hopewell Living Well Centre.
